PV LEGAL Database: full update and new functionalities
On Thursday 19 May the PV LEGAL consortium has published a new update of its resourceful database.
The database is providing a very comprehensive overview on the situation related to administrative barriers hampering the development of PV in Europe since it covers 12 countries, among these most of the main photovoltaic (PV) markets in Europe: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and England.
The market segmentation taken to analyse the procedures is close to the reality of system developers and installers: the database goes through the processes encountered to develop small scale residential systems, medium-rooftop commercial systems and large ground mounted systems.
For each segment and in each country, the database contains detailed description of procedures, legal background and remedies, duration and cost of every single step that need to be undertaken to develop photovoltaic systems in each of the countries of the PV LEGAL project.
Overall the database is the most comprehensive publicly available today, making it an exceptional tool for both:
- Developers and installers to find all details about what steps are required to go through to develop a pv system
- National and European authorities and regulators
The updated database features some new functionalities:
- A map of Europe to quickly find information on the country you are interested in;
- A navigation tool to easily go through the various levels of the database (processes, steps and sub-steps) ;
- Clearer legends to understand easily the various types of steps, the severity of the barriers encountered in the development of each type of projects.
- A "Compare Results" function to generate tables comparing the quantitative results of the PV industry survey across countries, segments and processes;
- A national contact point for each country to which questions can be addressed.
